Hadn’t checked out your wedding website in a while. So, so neat. I especially like the count-down. We’re already pretty excited, but then, I bet you are, too!
Michael, we’ll miss you this Thanksgiving. It’s started to snow here, so be sure to give Melissa an extra hug to keep her warm up here.
hi you two. struggling with the hotel’s internet but otherwise arrived here in great shape. flights were smooth and uneventful. micato met us and brought us here, where we got into our room immediately. we’ll head out to Amboseli a day early - tomorrow -
please pass this along, melissa and michael, since the system here is too complicated for us to use except this way.
Here in Serengeti. Too many animals to count, so sent Dennis on this afternoon while I rested up. He is looking for the leopard which has so far eluded us. We have seen many, many lions, though, and at least a hundred giraffes (twiga wengi in Swahili). There are so many wildebeasts and buffalo - hundreds, a thousand? Caught the end of the Great Migration, so were in the midst of a million plus zebras. The trip has been beyond description. Thank God for cameras. Micato has been the very best tour company. We called this our “trip of a life time” but have already begun saving to return. Cannot begin to tell you about it, but need to say it’s been beyond belief. Best of all, though, are the people who live here and in Kenya - just so very welcoming, genuine and wonderful.
Seem to not have the hang of actually using the email system here (complicated for me) so please pass along to Sheana, Madelyn, Travis, Brad and Abby.
Big hug to each of you -
love,
Jan
